HOI AN SEAFOOD
Description
A seafood restaurant with a decent riverside position and fresh tiger prawns that people come back for. The setting is attractive enough that it fills up with families on weekends, which tells you something about the price-to-experience gap tourists are willing to accept.
The kitchen can handle fresh product when things go right – the prawns get called out specifically and often. When things go wrong, they go properly wrong: missed orders, cold rice, and at least one reviewer spent the day regretting their meal (the less said about the rodent sighting, the better).
Service is inconsistent enough to be the deciding factor here. On a good day it’s fast and attentive. On a bad day your order disappears and your rice arrives alone, ahead of everything else.
