Hoian Central Hotel
Description
A colonial-style hotel sitting in the middle of the old town that somehow feels like a quiet courtyard escape the moment you step through the gate. The pool area is lovely, the breakfast garden feels like eating in someone’s well-kept backyard, and the staff are the kind of attentive that doesn’t tip into hovering (they’ll hand you a cold towel when you arrive sweaty from the street, which you will be).
Rooms are spacious and clean rather than flashy – think comfortable beds, working A/C, and bathrooms that do the job. A few rooms have shower curtains instead of glass screens, which bothers some people more than others. Request a courtyard-facing room to keep street noise out entirely.
The location is central – the river, the Ancient Town, and the tailor shops are all walkable. This is the kind of place where the staff remember your name by day two and give you actual local advice rather than just pointing you toward the tourist board recommendations.
