Hoianation Villas Hotel, Hoi An
Description
A villa hotel sitting midway between the old town and An Bang beach – roughly 10 minutes by scooter in either direction, which turns out to be a useful position. Rooms are spacious and clean, the pool faces the street in a way that sounds odd but works fine in practice, and they rent scooters on-site for 150,000 VND a day (saving you the hassle of finding one elsewhere).
The staff get consistently good marks for friendliness and English, and a few guests single out the quality of sleep here specifically – which matters more than people admit. Full kitchen utensils are available if you want to cook, though there’s an on-site restaurant for when you don’t.
Breakfast needs to be ordered the night before, the menu is limited, and at least one laundry request went sideways in a way that shouldn’t happen. The elevator is famously tiny (consider it a conversation starter). Best suited to people who want space and a pool without paying old-town prices.

- On-site scooter rental at 150,000 VND/day makes getting around easy
