Paddy’s Hostel & Sports Bar
Description
Paddy’s sits in the sweet spot between the old town and An Bang Beach, which means you’re not fully committed to either scene – a useful position when you’re on a bike and undecided. The pool and outdoor area do most of the heavy lifting socially, and the bar keeps things going into the evening without pretending to be something it’s not.
The sports bar side is taken seriously here. They screen major events, keep the beer cold, and serve a western breakfast that will actually fix you after a rough night (the full cooked breakfast gets specifically called out, which tells you something).
This is a hostel that works for people who end up staying longer than planned – the staff seem to be a big reason for that. If you came to Hoi An for beach days and cold drinks rather than boutique hotel aesthetics, Paddy’s makes a lot of sense.
