A beachfront resort on An Bang Beach, about 5km from the old town, which means you get actual beach access but you’re committing to taxis or the hotel shuttle every time you want pho at midnight. The villas and rooms are comfortable and match what you see in the photos – no bait-and-switch on the accommodation itself.
The spa is a legitimate reason to stay here. Ask for Hông specifically – reviewers who found her describe the massage as the best they’ve had anywhere, which is a high bar to clear.
The distance from town is the central trade-off, and the on-site restaurant doesn’t quite compensate for it. Breakfast is solid, but lunch and dinner options leave you wishing you could walk somewhere better (you cannot).
