Cẩm Nam Bridge
Description
A narrow working bridge connecting Hoi An’s old town to Cam Nam island, best experienced as a five-minute river crossing rather than a destination in itself. The views of the Thu Bon River are good, especially in the evening when lantern boats push off from the banks below.
The bridge is small and gets congested fast – motorbikes, pedestrians, and vendors selling lanterns all competing for the same slim strip of concrete. Watch where you step (the screws are not a rumor) and keep your hand on your bag.
If you want to float a lantern on the river, this is where you do it. That part is legitimately nice, particularly with kids.
