La Bottega Cua Dai
Description
Italian-owned and it shows – the pasta is made in-house, the limoncello is the real thing, and the gnocchi stuffed with Gorgonzola will make you question why you ever settle for less. The pizza uses quality imported ingredients and the four-cheese and Burrata-Parma Ham versions are the ones to order (skip the Chicken BBQ, which leans sweet in a way that doesn’t fit).
The atmosphere does a lot of work here – ambient lighting, live music most evenings, and a vibe that feels like a proper Italian trattoria rather than a tourist approximation of one. Staff are consistently friendly and Joel the manager keeps a close eye on things.
Sit on the terrace if you can and work through a bottle from their Italian wine list. The tiramisu is a serious contender for best in Hoi An.
