Lantern Restaurant & Cooking Class

Description

Chef Thanh runs this cooking class out of his family home, and that’s exactly what makes it work. You start at the market picking produce, then cook three or four dishes in a real restaurant kitchen with a maximum of six people per class. Mango salad, spring rolls, and pho are regulars on the menu.

Insider Tip
Book the morning market tour slot if you can - picking your own ingredients with Thanh before cooking makes the whole thing feel less like a class and more like spending the day with someone who actually knows Hoi An food.

'- Small groups (max 6) mean you actually learn, not just watch
- Market tour is included and informative
- Staff are warm and personally invested in the experience
- You eat everything you cook at the end
Cons
- Walk-in dining without booking can be hit or miss on service
- Prices for the restaurant side run higher than comparable spots nearby
