Description

Loi runs a small, family-operated coconut boat tour out of her home on the Thu Bon River. She rows you through the water coconut forest, helps you try crabbing, and takes a impressive number of photos of you in the basket boat (this is more useful than it sounds when you’re wobbling around trying not to fall in).

The scale here is the point. You’re not herded onto a tour bus and handed a group number. Loi found one family on their bike, let them row themselves for a bit, and sent them home with fresh coconuts. That’s the whole vibe.

Fresh coconuts from her home after the tour are included, or at least always seem to happen. Book through your hotel or just cycle along the river road until you spot her.

Highlights

Insider Tip
Skip booking through a hotel middleman if you can - bike out along the river road toward the water coconut forest and look for her directly, which is apparently how some of the best visits happen.
Pros
- Loi herself is the consistent highlight - kind, attentive, and good company
- She takes loads of photos throughout the tour without being asked
- Crabbing attempts are actively encouraged, not just decorative
- Fresh coconuts at her home after the tour is a reliable post-trip ritual
Cons
- Only a handful of reviews means availability and booking clarity are a bit unclear
- Small-scale operation means no backup if she's already booked
Best For
Families, Couples, Budget
