You’ll find Speakeasy Moon Bar by dodging the riverside boat-tour hawkers and ducking into a small alley – look for the staircase. The elevated position gives you a proper view over Hoi An at night, which is reason enough to come up, but the cocktails are the actual draw.
The bartenders take their craft seriously. Signature drinks with egg whites are the standout, and the classics – Negroni, Margarita – are executed the way classics should be, without shortcuts. That already puts it ahead of most bars in the old town.
If you’ve spent a few nights working through Larue at the street-side spots (no shame in it), this is the natural next stop when you want something more considered in your glass.
