Art Space Restaurant & Bar
Description
Art Space sits inside the Anantara resort on the riverside, which explains the polished loft-and-greenery interiors and the fact that your bill will quietly remind you you’re eating at a five-star hotel. The food leans Italian but doesn’t ignore Vietnam – the fried spring rolls are apparently the best some visitors had all trip, and the crispy shrimp tacos hold their own.
The cocktail list is the real reason to visit. The Vietnamese Pho cocktail is worth ordering (yes, it tastes like pho, yes that works), and the non-alcoholic options are more interesting than the usual juice list. There’s also an art gallery inside that most people walk past without noticing.
Service runs hot and cold – some staff are attentive and remember returning guests, others disappear behind columns. Sit near the street-facing tables if you can, and if the first person who greets you seems disengaged, ask for someone else.
