Cà phê Hoa Lúa
Description
Hoa Lúa is a rice field café, and that setting does most of the heavy lifting. Sit outside, catch the breeze, and watch the paddies while your coffee arrives without ice and without sugar – just straight Vietnamese robusta-heavy blend the way it was meant to be drunk.
The coffee itself is serious. A 90/10 robusta-arabica blend that’s good enough to make people come back to buy the beans, and a cà phê muối and cà phê dừa that locals are equally enthusiastic about. The tea is poured generously too, which matters more than it sounds when you’ve been burned by ice-to-liquid ratios elsewhere.
The vibe is quiet on weekday afternoons – quiet, not just ‘a bit calm’ – which makes it a solid pick if you want to actually decompress. Service is warm from the staff, though a few reviewers found the owner less welcoming.
Highlights
- Cà phê dừa and cà phê muối both get specific praise from Vietnamese and international visitors alike
- Rice field setting with a natural breeze makes it cool and peaceful
- Tea is served with a full glass - not the usual excuse of mostly ice
- Can be very quiet to the point of empty on weekday afternoons (a pro or con depending on why you're here)
