Moments Hoi An
Description
Moments Hoi An is that cafe with the ‘From Hoi An With Love’ sign out front that you’ve already seen thirty times on Instagram before you even land in Vietnam. The coconut coffee and salt cream coffee are good – not life-changing, but well-made and worth ordering. The food menu is straightforward and honest: salmon toast, hummus toast, nothing trying to be something it isn’t.
The upstairs seating is the right call for people-watching while the old town does its thing below you. Prices sit on the higher end for Hoi An (expect to pay close to 100k VND for specialty coffees), which is fine as long as you go in knowing that.
Service has been inconsistent enough across reviews to mention – some visits are fine, others less so. Come for the drinks, grab a window seat, and don’t expect the check-in sign corner to be unoccupied (it won’t be).
Highlights
- Salt cream coffee also well-executed and smooth
- Upstairs seating is good for afternoon people-watching
- Food like the hummus and salmon toast is fresh and not overly heavy
- Service has been noticeably hit-or-miss across multiple visitors
- The place leans hard into the photo-op angle, which affects the atmosphere
