Bon Restaurant
Description
A small family restaurant run by a warm owner who takes your order, cooks your food, and somehow keeps prices lower than places half as good. The claypot dishes are the reason to come – the fish claypot in particular has made grown adults emotional. Stick to the Vietnamese side of the menu and you will not go wrong.
The spring rolls (both fried pork and shrimp) are consistently excellent, and the fried wontons have their own fan club. This is the kind of place you find on day two and then resent every meal you ate before discovering it.
Food comes out slowly because one person is doing most of the cooking fresh to order. Budget your time accordingly, especially at dinner.
