Gióng Cafe
Description
Gióng sits inside an old townhouse with a plant-filled courtyard and a proper antique well out back. It’s the kind of place where the building does half the work, but the coffee holds its own – local beans, V60 and espresso options, and staff who actually want to talk you through what you’re drinking.
The menu goes where you’d expect for Hoi An – Vietnamese drip, salt coffee, latte – plus fruit teas if you need a break from caffeine. Salt coffee divides people sharply (think salted caramel, very sweet), so know what you’re getting into before you order it.
Prices are low even by old town standards, the courtyard stays cool, and it doesn’t attract the selfie-stick crowds the way the more photogenic spots on Tran Phu do. Go in the morning before the tour groups figure out it exists.
