Description
A rice field cafe about 10 minutes by bike from the old town, worth the ride. You sit among working paddy fields, order a cocktail or coffee, and watch ducks wander around the neighboring farm. Spring visits (think late March to April) are the best call, when the rice is nearly harvest-ready and the whole place smells like warm grain.
Prices run higher than your average Hoi An cafe, which surprises some people. That said, you’re paying for the setting, and at sunset the math starts to make more sense. Service can be inconsistent – some visits are smooth, others involve a lot of waiting around for a menu.
The crowd skews toward travelers on bikes looking for a half-day escape from the old town, which means the rice-side seats fill up fast. Come on a weekday if you want space, and yes, you will see people attempting the perfect rice field photo. Don’t be that person.
